The granddaughter recounted dropping Dalyce off at her Altadena home on Tuesday, January 7, and later learning that the fire had broken out later that day. When she returned the following day to check on Curry, she was stopped by police barricades. After speaking with an officer, she was directed to a nearby shelter where displaced residents were being housed.
Despite her best efforts to locate her grandmother, authorities confirmed on Sunday, January 12, that Dalyce Curry had tragically passed away in her home as the flames destroyed the property.
