Controversial Nigerian cross-dresser and social media personality, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has reportedly left Nigeria after a series of legal battles with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Bobrisky, who shared a video on social media during his journey, appeared to be aboard a plane, displaying a first-class ticket. Proudly showcasing his ticket, he commented on the hefty cost, saying, “This girl bought a first-class ticket three times; that’s over 30 million. Raise the bar for this girl.”
In another video, Bobrisky briefly displayed his international passport, humorously remarking, “That passport disfigured my picture.”
The cross-dresser’s departure follows a complex series of legal troubles that began in April 2024, when he was sentenced to six months in prison for alleged naira abuse. However, reports suggest that Bobrisky served only three weeks in Kirikiri Prison before being quietly transferred. Since then, his involvement with the EFCC has intensified. In September, social media influencer Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, released an audio recording purportedly capturing Bobrisky discussing bribes with EFCC officials to drop money laundering charges against him.
Only days ago, Bobrisky reportedly faced additional travel restrictions when EFCC agents stopped him from boarding an Amsterdam-bound KLM flight at Lagos’s Murtala Muhammed International Airport, intending to reach London. The incident marked yet another turn in Bobrisky’s high-profile legal saga.
Bobrisky’s departure has sparked speculation about his future plans and whether he intends to return to Nigeria amid ongoing scrutiny from the EFCC.
