Content creator and skit maker Mark Angel has called 2024 the most challenging year of his life, opening up about the immense hardships he faced, including losing $3.7 million in forex trading. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Angel shared the emotional and financial turmoil he endured, revealing how the loss led to overwhelming debt, the loss of property, and a deep sense of hopelessness.
Angel’s struggles began with a financial setback after trusting the wrong people in forex trading, ultimately losing a significant sum. In his words, he watched helplessly as his properties were taken away by loan sharks, feeling like his world was falling apart. At his lowest, he even contemplated ending his life.
“The year 2024 began like every other year, but I had no idea how much it would test me and break me, yet ultimately reshape me. It was the year I lost everything,” Angel shared in his post.
Despite the financial disaster, Angel credits his survival to divine intervention and the support of his close-knit circle. He expressed gratitude for his family, friends, ex-wife Mandy, daughters Victoria and Mila, his son Schoolboy, and his social media assistant Bright, who all stood by him during this tough time.
Mark also revealed that he sought therapy to cope with the emotional fallout, but his troubles didn’t stop there. He faced a career scandal that exposed fake friends and hidden saboteurs, further testing his resilience. However, he acknowledged that these experiences taught him valuable lessons about trust, faith, and perseverance.
Reflecting on his difficult year, Angel wrote, “2024 was the hardest year of my life, but it was also the year God drew me closer to Him. Through the ashes, He taught me resilience, faith, and the true meaning of grace. I don’t take it for granted that I’m alive today.”
