Indian Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, 54, underwent surgery on Thursday after being repeatedly stabbed in an apparent burglary at his Mumbai home. The actor, known for his roles in over 70 films and TV series, was injured during the attempted break-in at his residence.
Khan, married to top Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor, sustained injuries on his arm, which required medical attention. Kapoor confirmed that while Khan is hospitalized, the rest of the family is safe.
Khan, the son of former cricket captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore, is best known for his role in the 2001 hit Dil Chahta Hai and the popular Netflix series Sacred Games.
Reports from Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital confirmed that Khan suffered six injuries, two of which were deeper. Police are investigating the incident, with forensic teams examining the scene of the attempted burglary. Fans have been urged to be patient as Khan recovers.
