Senator Ndume Leads Opposition
Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, APC, Borno South, vocally opposed the move, insisting that legislative rules were being sidestepped. He emphasized the significance of the Tax Reform Bill, arguing that it warranted a more thorough process.
“This is a very important matter. We must follow known procedures. If this issue is to be addressed today, there must be a supplementary Order Paper to reflect it,” Ndume asserted. He stressed the importance of adhering to protocol, warning that Nigerians were watching how the Senate handled the sensitive issue.

Barau’s Defense and Escalating Tensions
